A SYNTHESIS OF INTELLIGENCE AND MORALITY IN MODERN EDUCATION

The paper deals with the teaching model based on a synthesis of intelligence and morality, which is instrumental in improving the quality of education and developing the students’ identities in the postindustrial society. Based on the analysis of the recent research concerned with integrative approach towards natural&engineering sciences and humanities based on multi-discipline, systemic and synergy methodology the author draws a conclusion that the process of integration of natural sciences with humanities is a cognitive process that allows to best explain the world’s coherence and its multi-dimensionality. Interdisciplinarity as a new methodology leads to the development of new disciplines such as applied ethics, the need for which is caused by achievements of scientific and technical progress. The author’s emphasis is put on a moral component of any science since it is a moral compass that determines the nature of the new knowledge’s impact on society and individuals, and provides the society’s viability and development.
