TRADITIONS OF ETHNIC APPLIED ART IN ART EDUCATION CONTEXT (BASED ON THE EXPERIENCE OF WOODCARVING AT THE VILLAGE PODLESNAYA TAVLA)

The author brings up questions of Tavlinsky school teaching technique in woodcarving in the sphere of further education. The paper discusses possibilities of a successful combination of the scientific fundamentals in arts and crafts creativity with tradition of folk art with respect to interrelation of plastic forms and the thematic contents in art practicians. Clear emphasis on studying settled types of applied art taking into account local traditions gives the chance to introduce in the process of training new forms of art creativity. In this regard there are currently searches for development of methodological fundamentals and content basis for implementation of innovative programmes for art education among the youth, including traditions of local national and ethnic cultures. Expediency of introduction to the further education traditional direction of woodcarving of Tavlinsky school of figured plasticity has prospects for the development and safeguard of traditional types of arts and crafts.
