The article explores the views of the philosopher and educator V. V. Zenkovsky on the spiritual nature of human and determines the importance of “pedagogical intuitions” in the process of evolvement of personality and functioning of the orthodox school. V. V. Zenkovsky believes that the personality evolvement is going through its interaction with God, as it has his image and likeness. The important role in the spiritual evolvement of a human belongs to “pedagogical intuitions”. It is the intuition of God or meaning of life that makes the beginning of the whole spiritual life of a child, in which pedagogy conditionally allocates mental, moral, aesthetic and other spheres. The sense intuition in the world is the beginning and the driving force of the child’s religious mind. Therefore the main task of the Orthodox school is to try to develop the bright child’s intuition and to help it to form a stronger spiritual bond with God, and thus to awaken the human qualities such as kindness, love and mercy. The scientist denotes three directions of personal development: the identity development abilities based on language and speech; the attainment of good and evil in the world and themselves; the development of a sense of people’s and humanity’s salvation and Christ’s resurrection in each human. So is formed a harmonious personality and are overcome its contradictions and specialized functionality. In the opinion of V. V. Zenkovsky, the Orthodox school can not only fully operate, but also affect the spiritual transformation of society, if it takes into account intuitions which are defined by this society.
