MAIN CONSTITUENTS OF THE MODERN INTERPRETER’S IMAGE IN THE TRANSLATING SPECIALISATION

This article is devoted to the notion “image” in the interpreter's sphere of activity. The image of a modern interpreter is treated as a phenomenon, dependent on the demands applied to the profession and other functions of the interpreter, especially in the economic and political sectors. Image making constituents of the interpreter's activity are defined and analyzed in the article. The actuality of their complex research is also explained. The main emphasis is given to the variability of the interpreter's image constituents. The list of the main fields within the interpretation activity is also included in the article. The author supposes that there is a possibility of interpreter's fields of activity division according to the main categories, taking into account the general type of the image making constituents.
