This article by Victor Ya. Tsvetkov (E-mail: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) has been retracted (i.e. withdrawn from the press) by the editor with permission of the publisher.
The reason for the article retraction is duplicate publication: the author has published substantially the same article under the title [Cognitive aspects of constructing virtual educational models]” in the journal “Perspektivy nauki i obrazovaniya = Prospects of science and education” (2013; 3:38-46).
The Editorial Board would like to extend its sincere apologies for any inconvenience this retraction may have caused.

The paper describes the cognitive aspects of virtual education models. Described are the components of virtual education. The comparison of virtual models and educational virtual models are provided. It is shown that the basis of the virtual models are different information models. Explored are the basic properties of information models used to create a virtual space. The main properties of the virtual models are: visibility, acceptance, target definitions, situational certainty, functionality, completeness, information relevance, timeliness, accuracy, regimentation, associativity, consistency, and reliability. It is shown that the majority of these properties depends on the perception of their man. This creates a perception of cognition and learning. It is shown that the visibility and acceptance of virtual models is higher than the actual models of the world. This has the advantage of their use for training. The properties of intelligent information educational models are described. It is shown that in the virtual space the second kind mechanism for solving problems is applied. The features of virtual models that define their "comfort" in comparison with real models are discussed.
Keywords: еducation; virtual education; virtual model; the perception of models; the visibility of models; models of acceptance; comfort of models; information model of situation.
