SPIRITUAL AND MORAL LANDMARKS OF MASS-MEDIA INFORMATION FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF INTEGRATION OF FOREIGN AND RUSSIAN MEDIA THEORIES

The article presents the theoretical position of some Russian and foreign scientists on the functional purpose of mass-media and its reflection in the professional practice of journalism. The author also examines some aspects of moral landmarks of the domestic regional press in terms of its matching with the globalisation trends, based on the results of her own research of axiological paradigms of Volga region print media. Russian regional media have happened to be fully incorporated into the global system of mass communication, and it affected their content in a certain way, form, and creative approach to the presentation of information products.
